Jones, Mayor, City of Garland; Rob Franke, Mayor, City of Cedar Hill; Helen Roberts; David Dean, former Texas Secretary of State; and, Dr. Larry Mercer - Christians in Public Service, Inc. was founded to provide a faith-based forum to teach, encourage and inspire those who serve, lead and govern. And, to provide a safe space for networking without regard to political affiliations.

Changing Culture.

Post-pandemic, the world changed. America changed. The culture is rapidly changing. But God's word is unchangeable, His Kingdom unshakeable and our mission remains.

CIPS exists to help public servants serve people well by offering support and instruction on how to govern well for all the people they are responsible for serving, leading, and governing.

We are a relational organization that is not interested in specific policies as much as the well-being of our society and the value of respect we show to people who we believe are made in the image of God no matter how positive or flawed their choices may be.

We are not partisan or tribal. We seek to love our neighbor well and to reflect respectfully on our differences with an eye for how God reaches out and cares for people.

So we seek to encourage and support public servants who share these core values and for whom character matters.

CIPS name is not to be used in any area that moves into partisan politics in ways that reflect more narrow tribal concerns as that move counters the commitment we have to serve all the people.

What we do support is reflective discussion and engagement in the contested areas of public discussion so we support dialogue in the public square that helps us all understand each other as people better, even if we do not agree with one another on the specifics of policy.
